Artist Statement

Still Blooms is my modern interpretation of a Dutch Master aesthetic. A contemporary reimagining of the classic still life through photography. Each piece is a study in light, color, and composition.

The series began as a way to preserve fading flowers, but evolved into a more deliberate exploration of structure and emotion. Using directional lighting and a grid to focus illumination, I created intimate scenes where shadow and light reveal form and feeling. The result is a collection that transforms the familiar into something both natural and imagined.
